Get fruity.
Fruit and vegetables are naturally high in folic acid, potassium and all the other vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy body, so aim to eat at least five different servings of fruit and vegetables daily. Don't panic, it's not as difficult as it sounds.
A serving is approximately 80g/3oz - that's around three tablespoons of peas, a standard sized serving of broccoli or
a small to medium apple. And because vegetables are low
in fat - just think how great you'll look in those jeans.
Make exercise fun.
Half an hour of moderate exercise at least five times a week is enough to reap fitness benefits and boost your mood. And by selecting activities that are fun and fit into your daily life, you'll have more chance of sticking to it. So be imaginative - take up
a martial art or try your hand at a spot of belly dancing, the choice is yours!
Brush up on your skin care.
Believe it or not, dry skin brushing stimulates the lymphatic system and encourages the expulsion of toxins. Plus it's also a great way of exfoliating dead skin cells and doing away with dirt and clogged pores. Use a soft bristle brush. Start brushing at your feet and brush towards the heart.
Love yourself.
Give yourself the love and attention you deserve! Affirmations - such as 'I feel great' or 'I love my body' - are a great way of reinforcing positive thought. Whether you repeat your affirmations out loud or just in your head is up to you, but whichever you do, make sure you do it several times a day.
